Remember GOtv, a DTT (digital terrestrial television) and one of MultiChoice SA’s brand which delivers contents via network towers rather than by satellite recently reduced the price of their decoder and also introduced GOTV MAX, a package which allows subscribers watch complete live La Liga matches on Super Sport Select 4 “SS Select 4”.

Also, Startimes recently introduced new subscription options, the “Pay Per Day, Pay Per Week” with the usual monthly plan. The Pay per day plan goes for as little as #60.

Remember TStv is the first Pay TV network in Nigeria to introduce Internet-based pricing model, well DSTV is adopting this same approach as MultiChoice is now partnering with Telkom to introduce free internet based subscription model on DSTV which gives subscribers 30GB worth of data.

Having said this, Africa’s leading Pay-TV provider, MultiChoice thought it wise to introduce free internet based subscription model to the market, hence partnered with Telkom to offer a combined entertainment and Internet service to subscribers at an affordable cost.

In reference to the advert dubbed ‘DSTV Na Net’ , customers purchasing a full DSTV HD decoder will get a free Mifi-router preloaded with 30GB Data from Telkom. This data can be used via WiFi Tethering so you can even connect your mobile devices like phones or your laptop.

According to M.D MultiChoice Kenya,

For now, this service is only available in Kenya but it will hopefully get to other African country soon especially Nigeria where MultiChoice has big market presence.
